Pushkar

Pushkar is a holy city located at a distance of 11 km from Ajmer. It is held in high esteem by Hindus. The people of Pushkar brim with enthusiasm especially during the world famous Pushkar Fair. It is the largest cattle fair of the world and entails several cultural activities such as dance and music apart from the business of cattle.

Many cattle traders from different parts of India flock to this place for selling or buying cattle. The fair is famous for well bred cattle. Visit the fair which is held in the month of November every year and see exciting camel races.

It is believed that a dip in the holy water of Pushkar Lake can eradicate ones bad karma. It is also a home to the only Brahma (the creator of the world) temple in the world.

Pushkar can be accessed from the nearest Jaipur airport which is 132 km away from it.
