Devigarh Palace Resort, Udaipur
Tucked away in the age-old Aravali hills of Rajasthan, the 18th century Devi Garh Fort Palace, in the village of Delwara commands one of the three main passes into the valley of Udaipur. Sajja Singh, who hailed from the neighbouring state of Gujarat, was awarded this strategically significant principality, in recognition of his bravery and loyalty to Maharana Pratap against the Mughal emperor Akbar, at the battle of Haldighati (1576).



Hotel Lake Palace, Udaipur
The Lake Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces in the world, arising out of the Turquoise Waters of the Pichola like an elegant fantasy in white marble. The Lake palace was built in the 17th century on a natural foundation of 4 acers of rock. It was initially called Jaginwas after its founder Maharana Jagjit Singh.



Hotel Fort Rajwada, Jaisalmer

Hotel Ram Bagh Palace, Jaipur
This former residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur was converted into a hotel in early 1970s and is now managed by The Taj Group of Hotels. This Heritage property has hosted a number of VIPs including Jacquelin Kennedy and has recently undergone massive renovations to restore it to its past glory.

The interior is not opulent but it does have some Louis XIV & art deco furniture, along with wicker chairs & Victoriana.
