In a narrow valley between red & green hills, 28 miles from Jaipur, this
18th century palace, built in the shadow of a small fort, the Samode Palace
towers over its little village.
The palace has splendidly painted & enameled public rooms, including a grand
250 year old audience hall now used for gala dinners.
The rooms, which have internal pillars & arches, are furnished with traditional
Rajasthani style chairs & beds, with mosquito net canopies.
Though the rooms are not regal, they are clean & comfortable. There are
no telephones & no televisions.
The hotel also runs the Samode Bagh luxury tents encampment in the Fatehpura
village.
